The 10g LAN/WAN is for FiOS multigigabit speeds with the rollout of their NGPON2 ONTs for 2Gb/s and 5gb/s services in NYC They've said that it could also be used for Verizon 5G Home (mobile network) but it's kinda redundant. Whatever 5G Home routers that Verizon has ALREADY has built in wifi.I thought I could use the G1100 as an access point for my network that's running off the CR1000A but how do I set the G1100 up to do so? I have gone into the admin settings/network settings and under Main > Broadband Connection (Ethernet/Coax) Properties > Settings > Enable/Disable Coax Link is DISABLE.Fios has the mix and match special right now that you get the G3100 router and extender rental for free while having the service. The reason they don't connect via wireless backhaul is because the G3100/E3200 used a second 5 GHz Band to connect wirelessly. The CR1000A doesn't have the second 5 GHz band. It is designed to connect to the CME1000 Wi-Fi Extender Mini using the 6 GHz band. The E3200s are used because the CME1000s have an inventory shortage right now. Wifi 6 devices support the 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz bands. You'll also see Wifi 6 referred to as 802.11ax. Wifi 6E is the new standard that supports the 6 Ghz spectrum. No current iPhone supports Wiifi 6E. The A is made by Wistron NeWeb, whereas the B is made by Arcadyan Technology (the same manufacturer that made the G3100). Yes you could get rid of cr1000b and connect copper cable directly to the UDM from the ONT, call to Verizon support and ask them to split Ethernet signal from MoCa to Ethernet port and have TV from nova in case to use rj45 instead of moca adapters.
